Brick and Mortar Business vs Online Business

Brick and Mortar Business vs Online Business

Have you ever considered the differences?

Obviously there are quite a few people that take a dim view of online businesses today. Why, I really don’t Know. Lets do a little adding and subtracting on both sides of the fence, I believe some people are going to be surprised by the numbers.

Brick and mortar Businesses in most cases we have a building. Cost of building, heat, hydro, maintenance, property taxes, furnishings, insurances, equipment etc…Next would be employees, paperwork, you’re time, depending on the type of business, there may be vehicle expenses like gas, repairs, cost of vehicles.

These are just a few of the regular, normal expenses brick and mortar businesses incur. Consider most small businesses whatever they may be someone most likely came into it by putting up cash, property, to take out a hefty loan, then there’s the interest on the debt. Realistically they will be working the business for 3or 4 years before it ever starts to turn a profit.

Why do people do this? It’s being done everyday! Admirable, yes. But why? Because this is the way Mom and Dad did it or because it seems everyone else has been doing it this way.

I believe I just described the typical brick and mortar business. Minus the headaches. There is always the possibility another similar business moving into the neighborhood, or any other number of factors. The economy takes a nose dive, a large nearby factory closes. Given the statistics it’s a huge gamble.

Now to Compare the Online Business

Lets look at an online business. A home based online business. Bottom line is we are looking at 20% expenses, 80% profits, there just isn’t to much overhead. Most of it is advertising you’re online business opportunities, products and services you partner with.

Along with a few small monthly fees required to run and manage the online business.

Some of the other benefits are, you are still in business only now it’s working with like minded people. Everyone is on equal footing, you’re part of a team, a community. No more commuting back and forth everyday, set you’re own hours, work from the comfort of your home, or anywhere else you can have an Internet connection and phone.

Another benefit, the automation, the 24/7- 365. Just about everything concerning an online business can be automated. Why are there not more people with online businesses? They didn’t know about it number one it’s a bit like it crept up on people.

Times are changing rapidly online today. Other than that there are people that just don’t believe it or think it’s over they’re heads.

Here’s the truth, there is a lot to learn but it can be learned, it is hard getting an online business set up, not impossible, more and more people are doing it every day and most had no computer skills at all when they started.

It’s programing in all the information, it does not happen by itself, for example setting up a website, when it’s done it’s done. It’s also working for you around the clock, around the world. Setting up an online business is not something that’s taught in school.

We are talking serious business with serious potential for serious people. The hard part is getting started, the analogy is, it’s like a plane taking off using almost all the fuel until it hits cruising altitude then it just goes and goes with little effort.

The difference is this, you could spend years and tons of cash setting up brick and mortar business before you ever see a dime. Learning to get an online business set up and making serious money can be a matter of a few months and for 95% less on the expense side, we already discussed overhead side.

Grow your wholesale business by entering in international trade

A wholesale business becomes successful when it realizes the need of growth and expansion to survive in a highly competitive environment. When a wholesale business captures a local market and further expansion is not possible, wholesalers prefer to capture the international markets to grow further. With a few risks involved in going international, its advantages are many. Wholesalers open up new horizons for themselves by entering into bigger markets and sell their products to a large number of suppliers, customers or retailers.  Some of the reasons or benefits which force wholesalers to enter in international trade in order to grow are discussed below.

Sales or increase in profit is a major sign of growth for any business. Without sales a business is nothing. International wholesale business builds closer ties between the two countries. These relationships help to bring more business to you. Your business grows with the use of latest technology you use in it. Your international relations help to bring advance technology at lower rates in your business and push it to grow by providing quality products.

One of the greatest things is that gaining more market share brings more business to the wholesalers. When wholesale business goes international market share increases and it gives volume to your business. Wholesalers can get the merchandise at the lower rates by making comparative analysis of the local or international wholesale suppliers. This facilitates to improve the profit margins.

Hence you can grow your wholesale business by entering into international trade as it on one hand brings the benefits of diversifying your investment which reduces the risks and on the other hand increases the profit and wholesalers should know that increase in the profit is the biggest sign of growth.

Copywriting Tips To Improve Your Online Business

Once an entrepreneur has taken the bull by the horns and started his or her own home based business, the time has begun to tackle all of the little tasks that go along with it.  One of these– and one that some people seem to fear more than many others –is copywriting.  Tips for creating effective copy for your company’s Internet presence can only help you to manage a better and more effective interface with clients and other businesses.

After all, let’s face it, in the modern business world it is most often the copy on your website that is read first.

Create Copy That Interacts With People

The first task in writing good copy for your website is to make the content seem interesting and lively.  So much of what people read on the Internet can be dry as melba toast, and it can actually help your cause to make your information just a little bit blustery, just to keep things lively.

Using hyperbole to make a point is not a bad decision– in fact, it can add to the readability of your text.  In addition, you will want the reader to feel that he or she is being spoken with, directly.  The best way to manage this is to use the word “YOU” as opposed to referring to things in the third person (they, he, she, etc.).  Once the potential client feels directly addressed in your content, he or she may be less likely to click away from the information before completing it.

Start (And Deliver) With A Bang

Any copy that needs to reach the clientele will need to have a hook, so it is a good idea to never underestimate the power of a good headline.  Yes, it is the shortest part of your copy… but it is also the segment that will determine whether most potential clients ever even decide to look at the rest of the content.

Find the most important part of what you are trying to tell the customer, and LEAD them into it with the headline.  From that point, once you have their attention, you can use your interactive writing to keep them occupied.  Most experts agree that copy on your website should generally be written at about an 8th grade reading level, so as to make the content accessible to a wide variety of potential customers.

Don’t Stop Writing!

Some people feel very uncomfortable with writing their own copy, while others have a definite knack for it.  Even if it doesn’t seem to come as easily, one of the best things that you can do for the sake of your company’s website is to keep writing copy for it.

You may not even use all of it, and you may only use your own copy for certain elements of the business, but it will help to give you ownership of your company… and it will definitely lead you to become a better copywriter at the same time.  Most importantly, it places the stamp of your written personality there for the client to interact with.
